What is customer 360?
Also known as: Customer 360 view, Single customer view
A customer 360 is a consolidated view of everything an organization knows about a customer, assembled from every system that holds relevant data — CRM, product usage, support, billing, email, and meetings — into one place.
In practice
What you need to know about customer 360
Aggregation is not understanding
Most customer 360 implementations succeed at collection and fail at synthesis. Putting fifteen data sources on one screen produces a dashboard nobody reads, because the work of deciding what matters is still left entirely to the person looking at it. A genuinely useful 360 answers questions — what changed since last week, what should I be worried about, what does this account want — rather than simply displaying everything at once.
The unstructured half is usually missing
Conventional customer 360 projects integrate structured systems because those have clean APIs. But the most decision-relevant information about a B2B relationship lives in unstructured form: what was said in the last three meetings, which commitments were made, who has gone quiet, what objection surfaced. A 360 built only from structured data omits precisely the context that determines renewals.
Point-in-time views lose the story
A 360 that shows current state cannot tell you that the sponsor changed in March or that a concern raised twice was never resolved. Time-awareness — what was true, when it changed, and what evidence supports it — is what turns aggregation into something you can reason from.
How to improve it
Improving customer 360
Start from questions, not sources
List the five questions your team most needs answered about an account, then integrate only what answers them. Source-driven projects produce comprehensive dashboards nobody uses.
Include the unstructured signal
Meetings, email, and support conversations hold the context that structured fields never capture. Omitting them leaves the highest-value data out of the view.
Preserve provenance
Every synthesized fact should be traceable to its source. Without that, the view cannot be trusted enough to act on.
FAQ
Customer 360 questions, answered
What is a customer 360 view?+
A consolidated view of all available information about a customer, drawn from CRM, product usage, support, billing, and communication systems into one place. Its purpose is to let anyone engaging the customer see the full relationship rather than the slice held in their own tool.
Why do customer 360 projects fail?+
They usually succeed at aggregating data and fail at synthesizing it, producing a dense dashboard that leaves all interpretive work to the viewer. They also tend to integrate only structured systems, omitting the meetings and email where most decision-relevant B2B context actually lives.

Know the metric. Know why it moved.
Aartha keeps a cited, time-aware memory of every account — so a health change or a churn signal comes with the evidence behind it.
